Zurich Holidays by Rail

Z urich is Switzerland’s largest urban area and often ranks very highly on global lists which assess the quality of life and ‘liveability’ of a city. Zurich is situated at the north end of Lake Zurich and is less than 30 kilometres from the Alps, but is also blessed with world-class museums, a beautiful old town, and excellent fine dining. The rail network is a crucial part of the city’s excellent public transport infrastructure, and Zurich Hauptbahnhof – the city’s main station – is located very centrally, on the edge of the old town.
